Particle Analyzers test sand, gravel and
coarse aggregate from 635 mesh to inches by video
image analysis. Analysis
time is 3 to 5 minutes with no weighing and no
instrument clean-up. Sieve fractions and shape
results are reported in one run.
PartAn
systems can be
set up for laboratory or on-line use. For the lab,
samples are simply poured into the analyzer sample
funnel. For on-line systems, sweep samplers are used
to take samples automatically off of conveyor belts every
five minutes. A drying unit is also available for
wet samples.
